My handsome boy is named Jamie Withers he was only 2 years and 1 month when he became an angel with wings on the 22nd may 2007. Jamie was a fighter at the beginning being born early at only 26 weeks gestation, and weighing 1 pound 12 ounces. It was touch and go for Jamie at the beginning but i knew he would fight through in my heart, Jamie found it difficult to come off the ventilator but got there in the end with the doctors and nurses help and he was breathing on his own with an oxygen tube, but this damaged his lungs and developed chronic lung disease, which did not effect him at all. Jamie came home on oxygen but was quickly off it with the special care from the neonatal team in singleton hospital in swansea, and alot of love from mammy and daddy. Jamie developed well and was soon discharged from hospital care. But one night jamie had a high temperature and i gave him calpol and put him to bed when i woke in the morning and went to check on Jamie he had died. Jamies dad performed C.P.R. to revive him but to no evail as Jamie had already gone, the paramedics done what they could which we are grateful for. Jamie was very much wanted as we had been trying for a baby for a while. Jamie was a lively toddler and use to keep myself and partner busy, he use to terrorise the family dog Brock but they were the best of friends. Jamie was always smiling and had his thumb up to everyone. Jamie is loved by everyone who met him. Jamie will always be in our hearts we will never forget him he would make a perfect angel, sleep well handsome we all love you xxxxxxxxxx
Jamie's inquest has been and gone and the coroner has said that Jamie's death was due to natural causes. In other words we still dont know.
We would like to give a special thank you to everyone on the neonatal team in singleton for giving us the special time that we had with Jamie we are so grateful.
Thank you to everyone that are lighting candles and adding tributes and condolences they are helping a great deal.

I'M SPENDING CHRISTMAS WITH
JESUS CHRIST THIS YEAR
I see the countless Christmas trees
around the world below;
With tiny lights like Heaven's stars
reflecting on the snow.
The sight is so spectacular
please wipe away that tear;
For I am spending Christmas
with Jesus Christ this year.
I hear the many Christmas songs
that people hold so dear;
But the sounds of music can't compare
with the Christmas choir up here.
For I have no words to tell you
the joy their voices bring;
It is beyond description
to hear the angels sing.
I know how much you miss me,
but please remember dear,
That I am spending Christmas
with Jesus Christ this year.
I cannot tell you of the splendour
of the peace inside this place;
Can you just imagine Christmas
with Our Saviour, face to face?
I will ask Him to light your spirit
as I tell Him of your love;
So pray for one another
as you lift your eyes above.
Please let your hearts be joyful
and let your spirit sing;
For I am spending Christmas in Heaven
And walking with the King !
